I was at Save-a-Lot and saw some beautiful strawberries and that made me think of an old story-The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear. We had so much fun making strawberry pie. Each child did their part from washing the strawberries to putting on the whipped cream. In the story the mouse is afraid that a big, hungry bear will steal his strawberry. The students were very surprised when our pie came up missing and the bear left us a note saying - Thank you for the pie. It was yummy! We did get our pie back and it was wonderful!
